What exactly is this Stock market? It truly is a great arranged method wherever everyone as well as all people may both purchase or maybe promote the stocks as well as stocks

How to Make 100% Tax-Deductible Stock Buys by palynp

When you're considering investing, one of the biggest pieces of advice anyone will have for you is to buy and hold. For a long time. Eventually you'd hope that the market of a big name stock name would out-beat the overall market, out-beat inflation, and make you money over the long haul. That's what you'd hope. However with so many companies reeling and so many other names going under, figuring out what you need to do can be shocking.

If you're not interested in risking your primary savings in the stock market, you can get involved in the penny stock market. Penny stocks (Pinksheets, OTC, etc) allow you to put a lot more shares on the line with a lot less capital at stake. Penny stocks also allow you to invest in a wide variety of burgeoning names. I have ridden the roller coaster of penny stock investing for several years, and I wish I'd have listened to my own advice and known then what I know now.

I've boiled it down to three rules you should follow when investing in penny stocks.

Don't Invest What You Can't Afford to Lose:
This is one of the primary rules in investing but you always need to be clear about what you're willing to lose, especially with penny stocks. If you have bought in near a peak and your value begins falling, often you can't even find a buyer of your now worthless stock. If this happens and your stock's value falls, you need to be prepared to hang onto it until you can make your money back. You also can sell towards the end of the year and use the losses to write-off or off-set gains. If you're counting on movement in one direction or another, the value of penny stocks is even more fickle than regular stocks. Don't bet the rent money on a penny stock.

Don't Make Trades That Won't Make You Money:
Penny stocks are a fickle bunch and even if you're buying a lot of shares that means someone else is selling their shares. Rather than seeing a stock that's trading at say, half a penny, and buying at those levels only, it's a much better idea to buy your first shares, say 10,000 shares, and then wait. If your value goes up, from one half penny to a full penny, that's great news! That means you can sell half of your shares and keep the rest. However if your stock goes from half a penny to two-tenths of a penny, that's a good time to track its movement. If you believe in the company and trading continues bouncing around those levels, buy a little more at two tenths of a cent. It may seem counterintuitive, but if you've done your research and you believe in the company or product, then the movement you could be buying into could just be "growing pains." Averaging down is also much better than averaging up or buying more on the way up only to have the air come out of the stock.

Don't Get Greedy:
One of the biggest problems with penny stocks and the like is that you often don't know what the news is until it's too late. If you've bought 100,000 shares of a stock at $.008 and next thing you know that stock is at $.04, do yourself a favor and take half (or at least a third) off the table. Yes, you are missing out on the potential upside, but when this stock goes to eight cents on no news and then drops like a stone for two years, at least you'll have gotten back your initial investment. If you get too greedy and you don't have a plan for when to get out, you're likely to ride the roller coaster all the way up and back to the beginning.

Investing in penny stocks is much more speculative than investing in more predictable blue chip stocks, though if the last few years have taught us anything it's that even the strongest of blue chips can be nothing but smoke and mirrors. If you're going to get into penny stock investing, be prepared to move on even the slightest movements, don't invest what you can't afford to lose, and make sure you've got some time to do your research. If you are able to hold a stock of a company you believe in for several years, you could just be buying into the next Microsoft.

How Important Will be the Trading and investing System Inside Expense?

August-13-2009-trades by MyTradingCareer

Stock trading involves some risk of loss, just as in any financial trading. But treating your trading as a business is an important way to minimize your risk. The same way that you wouldn't consider starting a business without a business plan, you should make sure you have a good trading system when you begin trading.

My great uncle was a stockbroker, many years ago now. His opinion was that there were some brokers who just had a knack of knowing what to buy and when to sell it. They had hunches, they followed them, and some had very good reputations as brokers. But following your gut feelings isn't exactly what we mean here. Speculation is not a trading system, it is only following your gut. Over time, it will be much more effective to use a trading system than it will be to follow a hunch.

Here's an explanation of a trading system, for those of you who may not be familiar with the term. This is basically a systematic method to use when you do your stock trading. Another way to put it is, the trading system you use will dictate your approach to stock trading. It is a methodology that you should write down on paper, in detail, and commit to. When making a trade, your system should consider all aspects such as money management, along with entry and exit conditions.

The stock trading system you use should leave no wiggle room for human judgment or speculation. This illustrates one of the most important reasons why you should have a trading system in place. Your trading system should not be based on emotions--neither yours or someone else's. For every possible scenario, your trading system should be able to provide you with all the exact details and guide you through the next steps. This will be your guide for what to do, and when to do it, based on the guidelines you have set up.

Some experienced traders believe that without a trading system, you are doomed to fail at stock trading. Using a trading system that you have honed to perfection through testing and experience will take you far. The money management aspect should take front seat when your trading system goes live. Many traders have failed simply due to allowing themselves to over-trade.

A highlight of a trading system is using it to take losses without fear, greed or other emotions making the decision for you. Probably the most critical reason why you should use a trading system is because it will train you to make your decisions based on the facts in any given situation, and to not be swayed by your emotions. It is a good thing to keep in mind that no trading system will yield winning trades every single time. But the right stock trading system will definitely prove its worth over time.

Carefully take your time when choosing the stock trading system that you think will work best for you. And when you find one that feels right to you, follow it implicitly, because you're much more likely to reap profits if you do. If the stock trading system you choose is built on sound financial principals and good judgment, staying with its guidelines faithfully will reap rewards for you.

Safety Helpful Hints For Repairing Home Appliances

Parked on handicap ramp by Richard Masoner / Cyclelicious

WESTBROOK - Those departing the Shoreline East train in Westbrook see an electronic sign welcoming them to town, a small bus shelter sitting on a small wooden platform only a few feet away, an aesthetically unpleasing town maintenance garage, and cars forced to park in the grass because of lack of parking spaces.

Keith Hall, who works for the DOT Division of Environmental Planning, said design plans for the new $7 million railroad station would make it identical to the Branford railroad station.

"Based on experience from the Branford project, construction should take about a year," Hall said.

Hall predicts commuters will still be able to use the Westbrook stop during construction but they may be required to park on the north side of the tracks and take a shuttle or walk across the tracks to the south side.

A new railroad station is important for the economic development of Westbrook, Representative Marilyn Giuliano, R-23rd, said, explaining that a new station "would be a big boom for Westbrook and all (Westbrook) Chamber of Commerce members are in favor of it."

Those arriving at the Branford station on Maple Street see a much different view than those arriving at Westbrook.

Branford commuters waiting for the train can park their vehicle in a free 199-space parking lot with tall antique-style lights leading up to a gray vinyl and brick façade station.

In front of the station are a bike rack and a convenient commuter drop off area.

"The Branford station provides a safe and convenient location for commuters to park and board trains on a level access," Connecticut Transportation Commissioner Stephen Korta said.

"With the other platforms either in use or under construction along Shore Line East," Korta said, "these new stations should further expedite the loading of passengers, and in turn will improve and enhance the on-time service and safety for all."

A skylight cupola is on the top of the small railroad station which offers gray benches in a sheltered area near glass walls, garbage receptacles, and a posted train schedule.

The station is ADA compliant with handicap parking and a handicap ramp going from the parking lot to the high-level platform allowing for level boarding.

The ramp is located near a row of newspaper boxes including USA Today, New Haven Register, and the New Haven Advocate.

A roof is extended westward past the building offering commuters a place to wait along the tracks in glass bay areas and an area without a roof for those looking to catch some sun while waiting for the train.

According to the DOT, the station was built to allow for future expansion of up and over facilities.

It is possible such expansion could provide parking on the north side of the tracks or allow patrons to board a train on the northbound Amtrak train line.

"This is a new day for Connecticut commuters using the Shore Line East service. It represents the state's continued commitment to provide first-class, on-time service to our residents whether traveling for business or pleasure," Governor M. Jodi Rell, said when the new Branford station opened on August 8, 2005.

"Rebuilding Connecticut's rail and public transportation system is one of my top priorities," Rell explained, "with the passage of the $1.3 billion transportation improvement program in June; Connecticut commuters will continue to see the results of the state's effort to improve rail service in the coming years."

Hall believes the award of the contract will occur in the next two months but a more critical part of the project is to get permission from Amtrak to build the station.

Before the station can be build, a pending land swap must be approved by Westbrook and a state salt storage facility must be constructed, Hall said.

The Regional Transportation Improvement Program lists the Westbrook Railroad Station as a project costing $7 million with $5.6 million in federal funds and the state paying $1.4 million, in addition to a $1.5 million grant to Westbrook.

Pazoo, Inc. (PZOO) - Turning Five Hundred dollars Into One Thousand Dollars In A Week? Fact Or Fiction - Penny Stocks For Beginners

It could seem a little crazy, but with the newest craze of people entering into penny stock investing; some common folks have been in a position to pocket serious cash on just one or two trades - acquiring stocks for pennies and selling them for serious dollars.

Yes, I'm completely mindful that this may seem like alot of garbage, but don't think for a moment that it's not occurring virtually day after day. There has been tons of corporations whose stock price had dipped to basically pennies per share and in some scenarios fractions of a penny per share, that have made very surprising and volatile rises to values that are 2, 3 or (seriously) 10 or 20 times that price - literally in days.

It's still hard to believe right?? For proof, Take a brief minute to lookup a few of these stocks yourself, for a case in point Sunpeaks Ventures, Inc.. (SNPK). If you happen to type in that ticker right into your preferred finance site, and look at a historic chart for say four months or so; you will see that the company was riding at a pretty unremarkable $.43 a share around the middle of March, and reached as high as .40 just weeks after. It wouldn't take a lot of math to determine that just 0 could have changed into nearly 00 in only a matter of weeks. Because of this everyday many people can to quit their jobs and just trade one or two penny stocks a month, while having the capability to pay all their bills and live comfortably.

By executing a little due diligence, you can realize great gains in penny stocks; and it's not your normal long term investment method like when investing in blue chip type stocks. Stocks of the big guys might see a 5% rise in a week (and they'll call that a great week), but if you can commit 0 - making may not make you jump for joy... best you can do with that type of gain is go to a movie... by yourself!

Simillar to with any other investment, even penny stock investing has risks, but think of this: if you're able to invest $500 in a penny stock and likely turn that small investment into thousands within weeks (and I don't mean 52 weeks) - the risk/reward ratio weighs incredibly in your favor. On the flip side, you could invest in nice "safe" blue chip companies and maybe see a gain of a couple hundred bucks a year.. that's if you don't invest in top of the line blue chips like Tyco, Enron or Adelphia...lol.

Right now, we are looking a company named Pazoo, Inc. (PZOO). This particular stock went from dormant to trading over 1 million shares as of last Thursday. The price continued constant all day on Thursday, even with the heavy trading (staying at $.10 per share), but on Friday - that started to improve a bit (with the closing price at $.135 - a 35% gain in One day). As of this writing, the stock is continuing to climb today (7/23/12) climbing to just under $.15 per share. The beauty of this company is that it has basic principles; a good team, good product mix and revenue!

None of the companies mentioned in this article have paid for promotion or investor awareness - they are mentioned for reference points only. Excellent Advice For Making Improvements To Your Home.

New inspiration: Kitchen appliances: the good, the bad and the expensive by New Inspiration Home Design

I did ok with the networking problem my house threw at me last week, so guess what? This week, another breakdown occurred, this time a large appliance I haven't got a clue how to fix. My 16-year-old Sears Kenmore dryer suddenly would not work. The internal light came on when I opened the door, but when I pressed the Start button, there was complete silence.

To me, a sudden failure to power on means one of two things - 1. a fuse is blown or 2. something literally burned out. There was no burning smell, so I chose option 1. Sometimes fuses are easy to find, like under a real obvious panel in the passenger seat area of my Saturn Vue, but since the dryer looks like a big white box, I knew this would entail a lot of labor. I would have to take the back off. I groaned and gathered my tools and my courage.

The back itself wasn't hard to remove, but it did require some adherence to steps: first I had to remove the hose (which was also filled with lint), then screw off the back panel and the separate top panel that covers the ground wire and allows the huge, thick power cord to exit the back in a graceful and well-constrained manner.

Little did I realize how much lint and nastiness had worked its way into the internal areas of the dryer. I vacuumed up about a pound of lint, picked up at least two full pistol chambers worth of spent .22 casings, 6-7 long-missing buttons, and I even managed to gather $5.77 in change!

When I looked into the back, I saw four possibles for failure testing. I'll tell you right now: I didn't know the names of any of them, but thanks to an appliance repair how-to video I found, I was able to test the resistance across each piece to see which one of them was my culprit.

To complicate matters, when the dryer was installed by my father-in-law about 11 years ago, he found that the dryer plug and the house plug didn't quite fit with each other, so he must have cursed loudly and hammered the plug into the socket by brute force, because it would not come out no matter what I did. I gave up on that angle and decided to cut it off at the source: I simply threw the breaker. The visual reminder of the plug firmly attached to its huge, high-voltage socket reminded me as I worked that this was a dangerous job, but I had some faith that a thrown breaker would keep me safe. (I reinforced my faith with nitrile gloves and rubber-soled shoes, just in case).

Once girded against the threat of electrocution, I pulled the wire connectors off of each piece to be tested, and used my handy-dandy, low-end analog ohmmeter (a voltmeter set to read resistance in ohms) with two leads and measured how much resistance I got across the devices. 3 out of 4 devices showed nonzero resistance, but one, the long, white-jacketed plug that looks a lot like a fuse, showed zero. I thought back to my college physics classes and reasoned that no resistance=open circuit. Whatever current flowed through the dryer met no resistance when it flowed through the device.

So, I did what any careful non-technician would do: I called the expert: an appliance repair shop I knew in Fayetteville, Tennessee, about 20 miles away from my very rural abode. He told me that the one piece that measured zero ohms of resistance was the bad part. This part roughly corresponded to the thermal fuse mentioned in the previously linked video, BUT a word of caution. The video tells us that "if the meter does not show approximately zero ohms of resistance, you will need to replace it." So, with these two contradictory pieces of information in my head, I tended to believe the tech I talked to on the phone, especially since the other three parts I tested all showed resistance. It is easier to believe that there is one bad part and three good ones over one good one and three bad ones. It could also be my innate laziness speaking here.

So I pulled the part and took it to his shop. For $3.10, I got an identical replacement that he tested right in front of me with his more elaborate ohmmeter. With a hopeful heart, I returned home and replaced the part, which was super-easy. One screw and two attached wires later, the new part was in, and I could turn the breaker on and test it. To my delight, it worked perfectly, except, of course, the unique dusty machine smell of the as-yet still unconnected exhaust. I patted myself on the back (yeah, I do yoga just so I can be flexible enough to do this). Then I set to re-assembling this behemoth.

Re-assembly turned out to be the most grueling and difficult part of the whole operation. The hose didn't want to re-attach; the panel didn't want to sit with the screwholes aligned, and after about 45 minutes of struggle and bizarre contortions even a regular yoga practice hadn't prepared me for, I managed to get the back panel and exhaust hose re-seated. I had one leftover screw, but I wasn't about to cry over that.

Sadie's list of tools and skills:

  1. flathead screwdriver for all those screws on the back panel and the metal O-ring attaching the hose to the exhaust vent
  2. multi-grip tool pliers to remove the one screw holding the fuse in its socket
  3. voltmeter (analog or digital) that reads resistance (ohms) and two leads
  4. nitrile or equivalent gloves and rubber-soled shoes for extra safety
  5. a good vacuum cleaner to suck up all the lint and junk that somehow made it inside the dryer body and got stuck in the exhaust hose.
  6. patience, perseverance and ability to squeeze into tight places

Total time for operation (not counting the days I let it sit because I was afraid to work on it): about 2-1/2 hours. This counts work on the unit, vacuuming out all the junk and re-assembling it.

Total cost: $3.10 for one bad part (which may have been the thermal fuse). All together I came out pretty well. With the $5.77 I found under the dryer, I came out $2.67 in the black! I guess that goes toward labor costs, but at least I'm paying myself and not a high-priced appliance repairman!
